Mission
To educate and empower K–12 students by providing accurate, accessible, and engaging resources that help them understand their First Amendment rights, navigate student speech issues, and participate thoughtfully in civic life.
Vision
To inspire a generation of informed and confident students who understand their constitutional rights, respect the rights of others, and contribute to a culture of free expression, civil dialogue, and democratic engagement in schools and communities.
Purpose
Students Speak Freely exists to bridge the gap between constitutional law and the everyday experiences of K–12 students. Through plain-language explanations, case summaries, current events, educational resources, and meaningful conversations, the project helps students understand the scope and limits of free speech in school while encouraging informed, respectful, and responsible expression.
